You may have seen some changes in our security hall in recent months, and there are also changes to how you should prepare.
New x-ray and scanner technology is now in place throughout our hall, and that means you can keep items in your bag — and now bring up to 2 litres of liquids through security.
To get through even quicker and avoid unnecessary delays, you should:
Make sure individual liquid containers (of up to 2 litres) are securely sealed. They can stay in your bag.
Keep liquids, laptops and tablets in your bag. No need to take these out.
If you are carrying metallic or double-walled containers (including vacuum flasks, thermos flasks and metallic water bottles), please ensure the container is empty prior to the security checkpoint – you can refill for free after security.
Remove jackets and belts and put them in the tray.
Empty your pockets.
When it comes to liquids, you're not limited to just one bottle - you can bring multiple containers of up to 2 litres.
When packing your tray, put the heaviest items (like bags) on top. Make sure there's nothing spilling out of the tray.

And remember: always check the restrictions with all airlines and airports you will be travelling with and through on your outward and return journeys. Not all airports will have the same equipment or capabilities, so it's best to plan ahead.
