Edinburgh Airport's new Plaza Premium lounge is now open to passengers, complete with a plush gin bar and a stylish dining area.
The impressive 760sqm lounge, which features a signature Edinburgh Gin bar as its centrepiece, offers members a spot of luxury before they jet off to their chosen destination.
Passengers can order a wide range of different drinks at the stunning art deco bar including three bespoke Edinburgh Gin cocktails on the menu, created especially for lounge members.
A “quiet zone” has been created by the bar where business or leisure travellers can relax and enjoy the views of the runway, while the lounge also has a separate 'interactive zone' for children featuring games and a small climbing wall - keeping them busy before boarding.
Local traditional tartan fabrics, woods and a selection of local artwork referencing key Scottish landmarks is featured throughout the lounge. Furniture and materials have been sourced from local suppliers in order to reduce the environmental impact while the lighting scheme is comprised of 100 per cent LED lighting.
Edinburgh Airport Director of Retail and Property, Gail Taylor, said: “Creating spaces that add a touch of luxury can really enhance the passenger experience and get that holiday or trip of a lifetime off to the best possible start, and the new Plaza Premium lounge will offer just that.

Plaza Premium Group Regional General Manager, EMEA, Mr Okan Kufeci said: “We were very thoughtful about our guests’ needs and their profile when designing this lounge. We wanted a space that considered the different types of travellers, be it business, leisure and even the little ones. Travelling can be quite stressful, even more so when you have children with you. We hope to be able to help travellers and their little ones cope with the stress of travelling by providing a space to unwind and also a space for children to play and to be entertained during their dwell time.
“Besides these features, we also looked into having more sustainable attributes in our lounges. We wanted to ensure that our lounge uses locally sourced materials and energy-efficient appliances. We will be incorporating more sustainability elements into our new lounges and operations as this represents our company’s sustainability strategy."
The Lounge is open daily for all travellers regardless of airline or class of travel also without pre-booking. Guests can enjoy an opening offer of up to 20 per cent off walk-in and online booking.
