Looking to make Edinburgh Airport your next workplace? We've got a number of opportunities with Edinburgh Airport Services Limited (EASL) you may be interested in.
The EASL teams are key to the day-to-day running of the airport looking after a range of different areas - among them our special assistance service for people with disabilities and passengers with reduced mobility (PRM), our car parking operations, and our early bag store.
Here's a run through of some of the roles we're recruiting for at the moment, and what they involve.
Our PRM team ensures people with disabilities and passengers with reduced mobility are supported in their journey through the airport - from arrival through to boarding the aircraft. They also ensure inbound passengers have the support they need on their arrival into Edinburgh.
Maverick Chai, a Customer Service Advisor within the PRM team, spoke about the work he and his colleagues carry out on a day-to-day basis, and what he likes most about working at the airport.
He said: "The things I like most about the job is that I get to meet and interact with passengers, and I get to work with an incredible team. I thoroughly enjoy it, and I get to meet a whole range of people whilst doing this job. I'm also an aviation enthusiast, so being able to work closely with aircraft, aircrew, and at the airport is an added bonus of this job for me.
"I get to work alongside many other people, from different companies and in different roles, all working together to allow the airport to function. Also, the fact that the roles are not what general members of the public usually do make it more interesting. In my case, with the PRM team, where else would you work closely with security, immigration, and airline personnel on a frequent basis?"

Maverick's five-step guide to a day in the team is as follows.
โ๏ธ Firstly I arrive at the airport and go through security screening (yes, us staff members do go through security too).
๐ I then make my way to the PRM office and check the roster to see what duty I've been allocated.
๐ฑ Usually I'm an agent, a role where I am assigned passengers to assist through the airport. This is my favourite part of the job as I get to meet and interact with a whole range of different passengers. I collect and sign-in on a mobile device so that I can receive assignments and communications from the PRM allocators.
๐ When a passenger needs assistance I am notified on my device before going to meet them. I then assist them through the airport. Once I have finished this I let the PRM allocators know and I can then be contacted again when new passengers arrive.
โ๏ธ After my shift, I return the mobile device to the office, and that's the shift done.
We're also on the lookout for team members to help operate FastPark - our premium, valet parking option.
After customers park their vehicle outside the terminal, and hand over their keys, we need drivers to move these to and from our 'block parking'.
If you enjoy driving this could be the role for you!
If you enjoy some heavy lifting a role in the early bag store team could be up your street.
This team works in the baggage hall, supporting handling agents by dealing with bags which has been checked in early by passengers. They also process outsized baggage such as skis, bikes and golf clubs before they are loaded on to aircraft.
If you are interested in any of the above roles, or something a bit different, we have a host of opportunities on our careers website. Find out more here.
