Roads around Edinburgh Airport will be busier than usual in the coming weeks as thousands of people make their way to Ingliston for the Royal Highland Show 2022.
We are advising passengers to leave extra time for their journeys as the Highland Show, combined with the busy summer holiday period at the airport, means there may be some queueing traffic to the west of the city.
The event, which is the first since 2019, will take place at the Royal Highland Centre between Thursday, June 23 and Sunday, June 26. Roads are expected to be busy across those four days, however drivers should also be prepared for some delays in the week leading up to the Show getting underway.
In particular the A8 Glasgow Road is likely to see queues, so anyone arriving at the airport by car is encouraged to factor this in when planning their journey.
We operate several different car parks on site at Edinburgh Airport, along with paid and free pick-up/drop-off services, and we're also well connected by public transport.
