Discover the castles, museums and cathedrals here. Visit the 1000 year old Ennis Friary which is still intact today which gives you an excellent insight into the Friary’s colour and dramatic past. Shannon is also a fantastic gateway to the beautiful Wild Atlantic Way where you can explore the hidden beaches and beautiful cliffs of Ireland including the renowned Cliffs of Moher, which are a truly awe inspiring experience.

Head to the other side of the Shannon estuary to the neighbouring county of Limerick where you will unearth even more Irish charm and must-sees. The city of Limerick is bursting with galleries, museums and pubs. Perhaps the stand out attraction is King John’s Castle where you can get amazing views across the city and learn more about Ireland in this wonderful historical exhibit. Why not visit the Milk Market where you can taste some fantastic local and speciality produce and soak up the wonderful atmosphere at this 160 year old Irish market.
