Feeling floral: Airport's wildflower project will enhance biodiversity on campus

In this section:

The International Day for Biological Diversity lands today (May 22) so what better time to highlight our Wildflower Project - an eco-friendly initiative we're working on to improve the areas around the front of our terminal.

The project will see a variety of native species commonly found in Scotland and northern England introduced to the airport's grounds.

This will transform the area, creating a brighter, more appealing welcome to visitors, while also providing diverse and much needed food sources for our indigenous pollinators.

The land in question is right outside the terminal building (you can't miss it if you're coming to the airport) and you may have already seen works underway to prep the area for cultivation this week.
