Hurghada

Hurghada

Hurghada, located on the Red Sea, is perfect for topping up your tan during the chilly European winter months.

Scuba diving and kite surfing are among the top things to do, while the bright turquoise waters are also ideal for viewing the diverse marine life. The Giftun Islands are part of a marine reserve and are surrounded by magnificent reefs, making for an unforgettable diving experience.

The desert night sky should not be overlooked. The low light pollution allows the sky to come to life at night, providing a great backdrop for stargazing.

The marina is surrounded with bars and restaurants, making it the ideal spot to unwind after an evening walk. Beyond the northern end lies El Mina Masjid, an exquisite, multi-domed mosque that is especially lovely when lit up at night. Alternatively, watch a movie at the marina's 7D theatre, ride the waterfront bungee rocket, or relax at the beach club.

On a river tour, float down the Nile, the world's longest river. It is an excellent method to travel around Egypt and see the magnificent ancient monuments such as Luxor Temple, the Valley of the Kings, and Elephantine Island, among others.
