As the busy summer months arrive we're going to be sharing some of the big improvements you'll see when next travelling through the airport.
A host of projects are currently being worked on with the aim of raising standards for all passengers throughout the terminal - whether you're departing or arriving - and we're looking forward to telling you all about them.
What you say matters to us and that's why these improvements have been informed by feedback from passengers and our own teams across the airport.
Improvements include:

🛍️| Now part of your pre-flight Rituals! Treat yourself or find the perfect gift at the Rituals store in our departures lounge: 🧴 Lotions and skin care 🕯️ Scented candles 🚿 Shower gel and fragrances Now open and ready to be your travel treat near Gate 7.
🆕| Our new PRM and special assistance reception is open to passengers. This space, near gate 12 in departures, is designed to improve the experience of passengers requiring assistance as they travel. Dominique from our ops team explains more in the video below.
🧳| Hear more about the improvements we're making at check-in. New self-service bag drop kiosks are being introduced as part of the wider £5.8m project to redevelop the hall. Angela from the airport's IT team explains the benefits this technology will bring.
👩🍳| Four new food and drink outlets are on the way. Work is ongoing across our departure lounge to improve the choice of restaurants and bars as we welcome some tasty new additions. Linsey from the airport's retail team explains more.
🆕| Hear more about what we're doing to improve our check-in hall. Zones A and D will be redesigned over the winter months creating more space, a more modern look and feel, and a better experience for passengers. Fionna from our operations team explains more.
🆕| We're making improvements to our airside PRM and special assistance area following passenger feedback. We're building a new and improved space, with the current area moving to a temporary location from today. Greg from our Ops team explains more.
Update: The new Special Assistance reception near gate 12 has now opened to passengers after the project to improve the space was completed.
🍴| News to feast on! Three new food and beverage brands will arrive into Edinburgh Airport next year. 🍕@PizzaExpress 🍗 Seoul Bird 🏅Icons Work will begin later this year, with the new names expanding choice for passengers: bit.ly/3VLrjBb
🚰| Taps on! We've added another 8 free water fountains after security, bringing the total number to 10. Just remember to empty bottles before security then you can refill when through.
✈️| We're rolling out new flight information display screens to make things easier for passengers. Screens display more information, including potential for language translations and destination weather, and will be easier to read. Stephanie from our IT team explains more.
🛍️| Some of the improvements you'll see at World Duty Free. ✅ Larger store size. 🆕 More brands and better choice. 🍸 New Edinburgh Gin boutique. And there's much more: bit.ly/4c2pAfU
🚍| We're improving our fleet of electric buses. There's a buzz around the airfield as two new electric coaches are introduced, adding to the two brought in last year. #EDIGreaterGood
🔌| Making positive changes to our airfield vehicles. Two new EVs have joined our fleet of operations vehicles - with more planned - as we reduce emissions as part of our Greater Good sustainability strategy. #EDIGreaterGood
