Hanover

One of the lesser-known German destinations, Hanover – or Hannover to the locals – is the capital of Lower Saxony and UNESCO city of music. Tucked away in the north of the country and full of hidden gems, Hanover is home to ornate architecture (make sure to see the New Town Hall), beautiful museums, and the Eilenriede: a huge urban forest nearly twice the size of Central Park!
