Can I book car parking in advance?

Yes, you can book car parking up to 12 months in advance. Book here

Can I book by phone?

Unfortunately not. We can help talk you through the booking process, but all bookings must be made by the customer.

Where can I drop off and pick passengers up?

Payment is made on exit and we accept contactless payment as well as Apple and Android pay.

Edinburgh Airport also offer a free drop off in the Long Stay car park for passengers who wish to drop off or pick up passengers without incurring any cost.

I have booked car parking but haven't received my confirmation?

You can request a copy of your booking confirmation by logging into your account.

If you don't have your booking reference to hand please call our friendly car parking support team.

If you didn't book directly with Edinburgh Airport and booked with a 3rd party you will need to contact the company you booked with.

How do I pay if I have overstayed my booking?

Overstay rates vary depending on which car park you are parked in. Overstay charges are payable per day.

Are there facilities to charge my electric vehicle?

Edinburgh Airport currently only provides electric charging points for Tesla vehicles.

Can I arrive at the car park before my booked date/time?

You can arrive at the car park early however please be advised that you may be subject to an overcharge fee, which is payable on exit.

Can I exit the car park before my booked date/time?

You can exit the car park early however please be advised that no refunds can be made for unused parking time.

Can I pre-book parking for the same day?

A pre-booking can be made up until 2 hours before you are due to arrive at the car park.

Will my vehicle be safe?

Edinburgh Airport takes the security of your vehicle very seriously. All our car parks offer high levels of security, with advanced CCTV systems, electronically controlled entry and exit barriers, and 24/7 walking patrols. Additionally, all our car parks have all been awarded the Park Mark® Award for Safer Parking so you can have the security of knowing your vehicle will be safe for the duration of your journey.

Please note that vehicles are parked at their owners' own risk, subject to the terms and conditions of the car park.

Why should I book my car parking with Edinburgh Airport?

All our car parks are on airport grounds, completely secure and located the closest to the terminal.

Do I need to hand my keys?

Unless you book Valet Parking, Edinburgh Airport operate a ‘self-park’ policy, which means you park in the space you want, and keep your own keys.

I’m a Blue Badge holder – where can I park?

Disabled parking spaces are located in every car park, however spaces are limited and are subject to availability.

What payment methods are accepted for pre booking?

We accept all major debit and credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, VisaDebit, Maestro, Electron, and AMEX for pre-booking.

Is there a maximum car size, or any height restrictions?

Most of our car parks have no height restrictions with the exception of the Multi-Storey car park that has a maximum height restriction of 2m. Any vehicles requiring more than one space must make 2 separate bookings i.e. vehicles towing trailers, caravans, long based wheel, coaches. How do you calculate parking prices on your website?

Our pre-paid parking prices are shown as a 24 hour period.

For example, if arriving at the car park at 05:30 in the morning and returning the exiting the same day at 22:00 you will be charged for a full 24 hour period. i.e. you would be charged the same if you were exiting the car park the following day at 05:30

All prices shown are in GBP and include VAT at 20%. Car park charges will also vary according to:

  • The time of year
  • Location in regards to the terminal
  • Supply and demand
  • How far in advance you make your car park booking

What happens after I have made my booking?

You will receive an on-screen confirmation with your booking reference and we will also email you a copy of your booking along with some helpful tips and information for getting to the airport and making the most of your time at Edinburgh Airport.

We will also send you text messaging alerts if you added your mobile number at the booking stage. A text message will be sent as soon as your booking has been made and we will also send you a text reminder 24 hours prior to arrival at the car park.

What if my flight is delayed and I go over my pre-booked parking period?

Depending on how long your flight is delayed by you may have to pay an additional fee on your return. Normal gate prices apply and vary depending on what car park is pre-booked.

What if I arrive before my pre-booked parking period?

Edinburgh Airport have a 3 hour grace period for all pre-bookings meaning you can arrive at your chosen car park up to 3 hours early without occurring any additional cost.

If you arrive early and depart late you may have exceeded the grace period and be asked to pay for any additional parking on exit. Normal gate charges will apply.

I need to change or cancel my booking, what do I need to do?

You can change or cancel your booking by logging into your account.

Depending on the type of booking you’ve made there may be an amendment fee of £10 for any changes or cancellations.

Please note, some products such as On-line Sale are non-amendable.

We do offer a 24 hour cooling off period where you can cancel and or amend any booking free of charge within 24 hours of making the booking. Although the cooling off period does not apply to bookings that were made and are due to arrive within 24 hours.

What do I do upon arrival?

Drive up to the entry barrier of the car park you have booked and the ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) system will read your vehicle registration number and automatically issue you with a ticket. The ticket will show your vehicle registration number and this will correspond to the booking details we have for you on our system.

Please remove the ticket, and the barrier will raise allowing you to enter.

Please retain the ticket and keep it safe as you will need this to exit.

Should the system fail to recognise your vehicle or if the barrier does not raise for you automatically when you arrive at the airport, press the intercom for assistance. Please bring your booking reference with you.

What do I do on my return?

Drive to the exit barrier and insert your car parking ticket. The barrier should raise automatically however, in some cases, the system may fail to recognise your vehicle on entry. You will know if there has been a mis-read because your car registration will be mis-printed on your ticket. In this situations please drive up to the exit barrier as normal and press the buzzer for assistance. Please ensure you have your booking reference and or car registration number to hand.

If you have overstayed you will need to go to the payment machines located across the car park before you approach the exit barrier.

My vehicle details have changed what do I do?

If you have chosen a flexible booking option, you can update/amend your vehicle details free of charge up to 24 hours before your parking commences - visit manage my booking or contact us for more details.
