What is the FastTRACK Service at Edinburgh Airport?
The FastTRACK Service aims to make your arrival at Edinburgh Airport as quick and easy as possible by giving users a separate lane, allowing you to reach passport control more quickly.
By showing your FastTRACK pass as you enter the passport control area you will be directed to the FastTRACK lane, which will allow you to reach a Border Force Officer as quickly as possible. From here, you will follow standard border control and passport checks before being allowed to continue to the Baggage reclaim area to collect any checked-in luggage or straight through to Arrivals.
Am I eligible for FastTRACK?
Anyone over the age of 18 is able to use the FastTRACK service. Simply purchase here prior to your flight. Please note the FastTRACK passes are only available online.
Why use the FastTRACK Service?
The service is ideal for those who want to ensure they have the shortest wait possible in passport control. It allows you to bypass the standard queue and join the fast lane so it is the quickest way to move through passport control.

When can I use this Service?
It is available daily from the 06:00 to 24:00 however please note that the lane is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
How much does it cost?
You can secure your FastTRACK pass for £5.00 per person.
I’m travelling with my family, are we all eligible to use it?
Currently the service is available for anyone over the age of 18 to use, from any airline.
How far in advance am I able to book?
FastTRACK can be booked up to 12 months in advance of arrival.
Can I book FastTRACK on the day of arrival?
The service must be booked at least 24 hours is scheduled to arrival to Edinburgh Airport.
Why is it more suited to those travelling without checked-in luggage?
Using the FastTRACK Service gives you the quickest access to Passport control using the designated lane so it is ideal for those without checked-in luggage to then head straight through to Arrivals. Those who do have checked-in bags may still have a wait on the other side as it does not mean that your luggage will be delivered by your airline to the Baggage Reclaim area any quicker than usual.
How do I know that my wait in FastTRACK will be as short as possible?
In order to keep the FastTRACK wait as short as possible, we have set a maximum of 50 passes available per hour. Having such a low maximum ensures that our fast track lane should not be oversubscribed, allowing you fast access to Border Control and giving those using the service the best value.
Do you ever cancel the service?
Not normally but we may have to in exceptional operational circumstances, in which case we will give you a full refund.
I purchased a FastTRACK Pass prior to my flight however when I arrived to the passport control area at Edinburgh there was no queue in the standard lanes – can I get a refund?
There is no refund available in the event of this. Purchasing a FastTRACK service will normally mean passing through the passport queue area easily and swiftly even if long queues do develop in standard queue lanes.
Does the FastTRACK Service allow me to skip the passport checks and the border control?
No, the border control and passport checks are mandatory for all non domestic arrivals, regardless whether you have a fast track pass or not. This service simply allows you to bypass the standard queue and allows you quicker access to passport control with a dedicated lane. You will still need to complete the usual UK entry checks and have your passport checked by one of the Border Force Officers. All standard customs regulations still apply.
I am a non-EU citizen. Do I still need to fill out a landing card?
Yes, the FastTRACK service does not change the border control service, therefore you will need to fill out a landing card. FastTRACK does not get you through the customs process quicker, however it allows you a shorter queuing time to get to the passport control area.
Am I able to cancel my FastTRACK Pass?
Here at Edinburgh Airport, we understand that sometimes plans do change so we do offer a full refund as long as you cancel your booking at least 24 hours before you are due to travel.

Can I transfer my FastTRACK Pass to another date?
The best and simplest way to do this is to cancel your current transaction to receive a full refund and make another booking for your new date. There is no fee for cancellation. However due to the desire to keep the FastTRACK fast, there is only a limited quantity available so the Airport cannot guarantee that there will be availability on your new date.
Why do you need my nationality and flight number as part of the booking process?
The Border Force processing time differs slightly for EU and non-EU passport holders and there are different areas to accommodate this. By knowing who will be using our FastTRACK service at certain times we can plan out our resources to minimise any potential wait that you may experience in the passport control area.

How do I know that my booking has been accepted?
Once you’ve completed the booking process, a confirmation email with a unique booking reference will be sent to your chosen email.
This email will need to be shown on arrival to the Passport Control Area to allow you access to the FastTRACK lane. You can either show the email on your phone or can be printed off.
Where do I go once I’ve disembarked from my aircraft?
Simply follow the signs to Arrivals and the FastTRACK lane will be clearly highlighted.
