Aviation White Paper

In 2003 the UK Government published its Air Transport White Paper setting out a strategic framework for the development of airport capacity in the UK over the next 30 years, against the wider context of the air transport sector.

It is the most important aviation-related strategy to be published for many years. In preparing the paper, the Government received over half a million responses to its seven regional consultation documents. In December 2006 the Government issued a White Paper Progress Report giving details on how much progress has been made in implementing the policies and proposals of the original 2003 White Paper.

Here we talk about our initial response to the White Paper, the master plans that have been drawn up as a result and the runways consultation that preceded the White Paper.
