For a great view of the runways just walk through to Terminal 1, which is linked to Terminal 2 after security control. The walk takes five to ten minutes and you'll enjoy some great views on the way, too. Don't forget to keep an eye on the time as your flight won't be shown on the departure screens in Terminal 1.
Terminal 3The best runway views in Terminal 3 are those from the departure gates and from the walkways linking them to the departure lounge. If your flight departs from Gates 1 to 5, you'll find a Caffè Italia take-away coffee bar nearby.

With its great glass walls, Heathrow Terminal 5 offers superb views across the airfield from almost everywhere.
From the departures area (after security) you can watch the aircraft take off and land against a backdrop including Wembley Stadium and the London City skyline.
If you want to enjoy a drink or a meal while you watch the action on the runways, you can't go wrong in Terminal 5.
