1. Escape the crowds

VIP lounges aren't just for first-class travellers – find your own space to relax at the Servisair Executive Lounge* (Terminals 1 and 3) or the KLM Holideck (Terminal 4). You'll enjoy comfortable seating, complimentary drinks and snacks, and a warm welcome. The Holideck also has family, business and quiet areas, and a glazed observatory. A lounge pass costs less than you might think, too.

2. Design at Terminal 5

Our EXPO area in Terminal 5 will add extra interest to your journey with its changing exhibits supporting British arts and culture.

The first piece of work on display at EXPO is a light installation by UnitedVisualArtists. It was sponsored by HSBC and inspired by the China Design Now exhibition (also sponsored by HSBC) at London’s V&A Museum. The EXPO display is constantly changing and evolving. The only limits on what we display are the limits of the imagination. So even if you’re a frequent flyer, expect to be constantly surprised and delighted by what you find at Terminal 5.

10. Enjoy the view

Heathrow is the world's busiest international airport and there's always plenty to see on the airfield and taxiways. The following locations all offer a superb window on the action.

  • Terminal 1: The Tin Goose pub, Est Presso! restaurant and Caffè Nero coffee bar.
  • Terminal 3: The Servisair Executive Lounge has a view of the airfield (and a quiet, comfortable space to watch from), as do many of the departure gates.
  • Terminal 4: There are great views from the AMT and Costa coffee bars, and from many of the departure gates. The KLM Holideck lounge even has a glazed observatory.
  • Terminal 5: Wherever you are, the sweeping glass walls provide dramatic views over the runways and beyond. For relaxing with food and a drink, Gordon Ramsay Plane Food and Wagamama both offer perfect vantage points.
