Cycle parking

There is a bicycle parking rack and shelter in front of the International Arrivals entrance, across the forecourt from the terminal building.

Taking bikes on public transport

Buses: Most buses cannot carry bikes. However, Edinburgh Shuttle minibuses can carry bicycles in boxes, subject to space being available. Please confirm conditions and availability with the operator.

Trains: First ScotRail carries bicycles free, subject to space being available; reservations are needed for some services. Cycle reservations are compulsory on National Express East Coast and Virgin Trains services.

Taking bikes on flights

Most airlines will carry bicycles but often require them to be in special boxes or bags, with handlebars sideways and deflated tyres. Please check with your airline about packing requirements and weight restrictions.
