Trains

The nearest rail station to the airport is Dyce, which is about two miles from the terminal and easily reached by bus or taxi.

Service 80 Dyce Airlink

This new bus service ties in with the new ScotRail train service and links Dyce rail station with Aberdeen Airport, the Heliport and Kirkhill Industrial Estate from Monday to Friday, 06:45 to 19:38.

Introductory fares (until March 2009) include an adult single for £1 and a child single for 70p.

Dyce station

Dyce is on the Aberdeen-Elgin-Inverness line, and is also served by some through trains from Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Dyce station is unstaffed but tickets can be bought on the train. A standard single Anytime fare to Aberdeen is £1.80 and a return is £2.80. Trains run at least once an hour Monday to Saturday, less frequently on Sundays. 

Aberdeen station

Aberdeen rail station is in the city centre, a ten-minute train journey from Dyce.

The following operators run trains to and from Aberdeen station:

  • First ScotRail: Services throughout Scotland and sleeper trains to London Euston.
  • National Express East Coast: East Coast Main Line trains to Edinburgh and London King's Cross.
  • CrossCountry: Links Aberdeen with a network stretching to Birmingham, Manchester, Brighton and Penzance.
