The most popular country is Spain, with top destinations including Madrid, Malaga, Palma and Alicante. Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Dublin are also popular destinations. Are there new international services starting from Edinburgh Airport?
Almost 30 new direct international services have started recently from Edinburgh, including New York (JFK), Marseille, La Rochelle, Bremen, Pisa, Nice, Berlin and Bratislava. New services for 2009 include Venice, Dusseldorf, Menorca, Cagliari and Olbia in Sardinia.

What new developments are planned at Edinburgh Airport?
BAA Scotland plans to invest £240 million over the next ten years at Edinburgh Airport, including a bigger terminal building and additional aircraft stands. This builds on the substantial investment over recent years including the iconic £11 million air traffic control tower and £19 million south east pier terminal extention. In 2009, work will begin on a major terminal extension that will double the size of the airport's departure lounge, and include new state of the art security facilities, and more relaxation space, including a wider choice of bars, shops and restaurants.
