Edinburgh's new departure lounge - Building a better airport for Scotland's capital

At Edinburgh Airport, we're proud of our city and proud of our airport, now Scotland's busiest.

With nine million passengers every year, flying to 110 destinations worldwide, Edinburgh Airport plays an important role in the life of this great city, supporting our vital tourism industry which is the lifeblood of our economy.

At BAA, we're determined to build an airport that meets the aspirations of one of Europe's great capital cities.

So, over the next two years, we plan to invest £40 million on a major terminal extension that will transform your airport - with new state of the art security facilities, and more relaxation space, including a wider choice of bars, shops and restaurants.

By 2011, when the new development opens to passengers, Edinburgh Airport will be one of the most modern gateways in Europe, capable of handling 13 million passengers a year.

In the meantime, we're working hard to keep any disruption to a minimum, and we'd like to thank you for your patience as we continue our investment.
