Boasting bold architecture and an imposing skyline, Chicago set on Lake Michigan is a hub of business and culture. With outstanding museums, shopping and dining options, the Windy city is a perfect destination to discover more of America.
With so much to see and do, it’s unlikely you’ll fit it all in but a good start is to visit the Magnificent Mile, one of the greatest avenues in the world which boasts over 460 shops, 275 restaurants and a wealth of unique entertainment and great hotels. Also within this one square mile, you will find the state of the art Millennium Park which encompasses Chicago’s motto of the ‘City in a Garden’ where you can see the concerts held here, check out the impressive Cloud Gate and visit the Art Institute of Chicago which TripAdvisor deemed the World’s Best Museum in 2014.
Head South and you will find the Museum Campus which houses more exceptional museums all within close proximity. Watch amazing star shows at the Alder Planetarium, explore what lies beneath the sea at the Shedd Aquarium and discover dinosaurs and past wonders at the Field Museum of Natural History. If you fancy something a little different then why not climb the Willis Tower, the Western Hemisphere’s tallest building and step out onto their glass Skydeck where you can get an amazing bird’s eye view of Chicago and beyond.
If you are a sports fan then Chicago will not disappoint; the city is filled with great teams so check out Michael Jordan’s team, the Chicago Bulls or choose between two baseball greats, the Cubs or the White Sox. If you would prefer, Chicago is home to the NFL Chicago Bears and 2015 Ice Hockey Champions the Blackhawkes so you really do have plenty of choice while you are here
