From wandering through its vine covered Old Town to the wonder of the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, Bodrum has a wealth of history for you to explore. Visit the restored Ottoman shipyard or the Ancient theatre dating back to the 4th century BC. Another highlight is the Bodrum Castle, an impressive medieval fortress which not only overlooks the beautiful harbour but is also home to the Museum of Underwater Archaeology where you can discover some spectacular underwater treasures.

Although a perfect escape to truly relax, Bodrum also offers great nightlife which is a real hit with the rich and famous. From the iconic Halikarnas night club to glass-bottomed boat parties to a whole host of fantastic live events, Bodrum knows how to serve up a superior night out. There is also fantastic seaside bars, cafes and candlelit restaurants if you prefer a more tranquil ending to your days.

Prefer to stay outside of the city, then there is a number of fantastic destinations close by. Lying only a couple of miles away is the popular resort of Gumbet which offers a truly gorgeous beach, fantastic water sports facilities and great hotels. Or why not head to the modern, yet charming fishing village of Torba where you will find some superb fish restaurants and a more laid back attitude; perfect if you fancy something a little quieter.
