Zante (Zakynthos)

Zante, also known as Zakynthos, is one of the most popular Greek islands. Unquestionably it’s due to its mix of unbelievably beautiful turquoise seas.

Zante is divided into three geographically distinctive areas: the south is characterised by beautiful white sandy beaches such as the Navagio Beach (also known as Smuggler’s Cove). It is one of the most photographed spots in all of Greece with its magnificent white cliffs, clear turquoise waters and the shipwreck of Panagiotis lying on its shore.

The north is filled with quaint traditional mountain villages offering the opportunity to see the traditional Greek way of life as well as providing dramatic seascape views, sea caves and therapeutic sulphur beaches to bathe in.

Finally, the central region is a fertile plain, rich with olive groves and vineyards. It’s here that you will be able to taste some of the best wines in the Mediterranean.

Fly directly from Edinburgh to Zante on a NEW twice-weekly Jet2 and Jet2holidays service (starting 24 May 2016).
