Shopping

Can I shop?

Yes. Every passenger can shop and take advantage of the savings at Edinburgh Airport. There are some exclusions on tobacco and certain spirits which are available when you are travelling outwith the EU only. The World Duty Free team will be only too happy to assist you.

How much can I save by shopping at the airport, and is it worthwhile?

The simple answer is yes. At World Duty Free the savings can be significant; at least 20% off the average High St price on all fragrances, 20% off the average High St price of champagne and single malt whisky. All the products are regularly price surveyed across a wide range of retailers to ensure any changes to the High St prices are accounted for. In addition there is a vast array of products available which cannot be bought on the UK High St; ranging from malt whiskies through to sunglasses and cosmetics, the only place to buy them is at the airport.

High St retailers such as Kurt Geiger and Hugo Boss also offer tax free prices which means you can make great savings versus the Uk High St.

Eating & Drinking

Is it more expensive to eat and drink at the airport?

No, the price for your favourite coffee from Costa Coffee or Caffe Nero is the same at the airport as it is in the city centre. Our bars and restaurants are also very competitively priced with frequent special offers being promoted. Enjoy the delights of Scottish cuisine at the Gathering or try one of our many exclusive dishes at JD Wetherspoons, a number of the dishes are not available on the UK High St.

Healthcare

Can I order prescriptions at the airport?

There is a pharmacy on site at Edinburgh Airport, you can therefore get first time and repeat prescriptions with minimal effort. The Pharmacy is open from XXXX every day

What can are the rules about baby food and milk?

Passengers travelling with small children are allowed to take liquid baby milk and baby food on their flight. These liquids are exempt from the 100ml liquids rule, however we ask you take only what is needed for the duration of the flight. Baby food will still need to be screened however you may also be asked to taste a small amount of the food for security reasons. Passengers can also pre-ordering baby products and mil  from Boots. Orders must be places at least two weeks before travel (to allow for sufficient stock).
