The incident occurred during operational training and did not in any way impair the operation of the airport or affect our passengers. A full investigation of the incident is now underway.

Edinburgh Airport has appointed Onyx Group to handle the management of its IT infrastructure in a five year, multi-million pound deal.

easyJet, Scotland's largest airline, has today (Thursday August 30) announced a major expansion for Edinburgh Airport which will bring more than 100 jobs to the region. The airline will bring in an additional two aircraft increasing the number of planes it bases at the Scottish capital from five to seven.

Passengers at Edinburgh Airport may be body scanned as part of the airport’s normal security procedures from Saturday 1st September, following direction from the UK Government.
