- November delivers strong passenger numbers for Edinburgh Airport
Last month saw an 8.5% rise in the number of passengers travelling through Edinburgh Airport compared to November 2012 with over 680,000 people choosing to fly to and from Scotland's busiest airport.
A total of 685,929 people travelled through the airport last month, compared to 632,132 in 2012.
International traffic saw an increase of 18.6%, with a total of 290,641 people. In terms of domestic passenger numbers, 395,288 people travelled through the airport, an increase of 2.1% from the previous year.
Gordon Dewar, Chief Executive of Edinburgh Airport said: "We're delighted that November saw such a high number of passengers travelling through our terminal.
"Last month we delivered what we've been promising for some time with the announcement of new long-haul services to America, Canada and the Middle East. These will undoubtedly strengthen our route network and provide our passengers with even more choice.
"The next twelve months will be hugely exciting for Scotland. With the Commonwealth Games, Ryder Cup and the Year of Homecoming to look forward there will be even more opportunities to showcase Edinburgh Airport as the place where Scotland meets the world."
The moving annual total for the 12 months ending November 2013 was 9,713,846 passengers.
