- Edinburgh Airport now connected to Glasgow city centre with launch of new Citylink bus service
Edinburgh Airport has welcomed the launch of a new direct bus link between the airport and Glasgow city centre.
Citylinkair, operated by Scottish Citylink, took its maiden voyage this morning and now provides passengers with the first direct service between the two cities, with journey times of just one hour.
Passengers will be able to take full advantage of this new service, with the first service leaving Glasgow’s Buchanan Bus Station at 0400hrs and the last departing Edinburgh Airport at 2230hrs.
The journey is expected to take no more than one hour each way, with services operating every 30 minutes during peak times. The new Citylink service offers customers the quickest method of public transport between Edinburgh Airport and Glasgow city centre.

“This new service from our partners at Citylink will allow more passengers to experience our world-leading services and hospitality by improving the transport connections between Edinburgh Airport and Glasgow city centre.”
Tickets can be bought on the bus but discounts are available online, if booked in advance. Discounted returns called Apex Returns are available if booked more than 48 hours in advance.
