844,000 passengers travelled through Edinburgh Airport in October, a drop of 2.8% on the previous year.
An Edinburgh Airport spokesman, said: “While international passengers are down partly due to the severe weather conditions in the US, Edinburgh Airport’s long-term international market is positive.
“EasyJet have announced six new European routes to Berlin, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Dubrovnik, Prague and Reykjavik; and Vueling have confirmed a full summer service to Barcelona.
"The domestic market remains tough, although we eagerly await the outcome of the forthcoming slot auction". Edinburgh Airport’s traffic in October was as follows:
