We are currently consulting on a new noise action plan where we seek to continue to manage and, where possible, minimise aircraft-related noise at Edinburgh Airport. The consultation period will run between 15 July and 7 October 2013 and comments can be submitted by email to email@example.com or in writing to Grant Kennedy at the following address:
Gogar Bridge Road
The noise action plan has been produced to comply with the EU and Scottish Government requirement for airports with over 50,000 movements a year to produce a noise action plan. For further details please visit www.scotland.gov.uk.
We are aware that aircraft noise is a concern for our local communities and we hope that this noise action plan will enable us to further develop our relationship with nearby communities and other key stakeholders, and to improve our understanding of their concerns and priorities, so that we can take effective action in response. We welcome your comments on our draft noise action plan.
It is intended that the final noise action plan will be published early in 2014 to allow time for comments to be considered and in order to take account of any emerging noise policy and guidance.
